8:30 PM, March 5 (Friday), at Saints and Sinners in Hoboken, NJ: Ghost Ghost will make their New Jersey debut at Saints and Sinners in Hoboken next week. Due to a cosmic coincidence, this will be the second time in two weeks that we share a stage with our NJ friends Agency of Record. The show is $10, 21+, and Saints and Sinners is located at 205 1st St. in Hoboken. This is our last New York area show before we head down to South By Southwest in Austin.

Check out our brand new online store at store.ghostghost.net to hear our two brand new records: the long awaited second EP, Of Innocence and Experience (with a beautiful watercolor album cover by Charlie Kemmerer), and the came-out-of-nowhere full length album No Clothes on Ragged Island (written in one day and recorded in one week). You can listen to any of our albums on the store site, download them in any format you like, and even read the lyrics and liner notes. Our first pressing of vinyl is happening today, so we are also taking pre-orders of the limited edition colored vinyl at the store!

No Clothes on Ragged Island

Happy birthday Edna St. Vincent Millay, we made you an album: http://bit.ly/ghostghostrpm . The album title is No Clothes on Ragged Island, and each of the ten songs is inspired by a scene from the poet’s life. The songs were written by Kevin and Karl, five songs each, in about 24 hours as part of the RPM Challenge. These are the rough demo recordings made yesterday. A more finished version is in the works, and due by the end of the week–no, seriously, we have to turn them in on March 1. 8:00 PM, March 19, SXSW: Ghost Ghost and artist Charlie Kemmerer will perform at the South by Southwest 2010 music/art festival in Austin, TX! We take the stage at 8:30 PM, March 19 (Friday), at the Gotta Groove Records showcase at Trailer Space Records! If you or someone you know will in the Austin area during the festival, let us know, and spread the word. The party starts at 7 PM, and Weatherbox, Chelsea Automatic, and The Felix Culpa are also performing. Trailer Space Records is located at 1401-A Rosewood Ave. in Austin, TX.

Saturday show at endangered Lit Lounge

Saturday, Feb. 20, 10:30 PM, at Lit Lounge: In case you haven’t heard, the City has threatened to shut down Lit Lounge this month, citing repeated violations of the NYC smoking ban. The City’s lawyer in this case was quoted as saying “We made it clear we will go forward and we are not interested in making a deal,” which is the City’s way of saying that this could be the last time that Ghost Ghost and artist Charlie Kemmerer perform at Lit Lounge. So come out for one last hurrah in the dark rock and roll basement that we’ve played more than any other band over the last year. Our Hackensack-ack-ack-ack friends Agency of Record open. $6, 21+. Lit Lounge is located at 93 2nd Ave. in Manhattan.
