Knee-High Socks, Free Vinyl Record

October 17, 2011 12:43 pm

Saturday, 8 PM, at The Delancey: At this weekend’s show we will be giving away our brand new record, a 7″ vinyl single with “Bizarre Love Triangle” on one side and “Vassar Days” on the flip side! This pressing is limited to 100 multicolored copies wrapped in signed, handmade sleeves. But what does this have to do with knee-high socks? We’re performing at The Deli Magazine showcase in NYC’s biggest music festival, the CMJ Music Marathon! We were born to run, and more importantly, born to wear neon headbands and running shorts. Tim Bartlett does a wicked 360 in this commercial for tonight’s show at Pianos. We expect this commercial to air during the next three Super Bowls, even though that seems kind of unlikely. See you tonight.

Goodbye Blue Monday 6/21

June 21, 2011 2:57 am

Tuesday, 6/21, 7:00 PM at Goodbye Blue Monday: Mark is asleep on my floor, Charlie has taken his traditional perch atop the Chrysler Building, Kevin is skateboarding down the BQE, and Tim Bartlett has become lightning. I know all this because I woke up omnipresent, again. It’s a great day for a rock show.

Tonight, Ghost Ghost performs at Goodbye Blue Monday, 1087 Broadway in Bushwick Brooklyn. The show is free, the drinks are cheap, and we’ll only be playing the hottest summer jams, which we will write on the way to the show. Facebook event here.

Also note: due to legal issues, we will no longer be providing any of the following at our shows: free helicopter rides on our 1922 Oehmichen helicopter (pictured), all day “fun passes” to the Alaska governor’s mansion (not pictured), or framed velvet portraits of Kim Jong Il (not pictured).

New Haven outdoor show 6/19

June 14, 2011 10:07 pm

3 PM, Sunday, 6/19 at the New Haven Green: The International Festival of Art and Ideas has invited Ghost Ghost to perform a free outdoor concert on the Park Stage of the New Haven Green in New Haven, Connecticut. Read more about the festival in this New York Times feature. The show is free and huge. Facebook event here.

We promise that Joe Lieberman will be there, dressed as Emperor Palpatine from Star Wars. Also, we may–I repeat, may–reenact a Civil War battle dressed in period-correct Star Wars costumes.
