Saturday, 4/25/2009, from 3:30 PM to 5 PM on WRMC: We’re about to rock a live on-the-air concert on WRMC with DJ Salen Andrews on her rad rock show Into the Void. Mark Christensen will sit in on a few songs, adding that sweet second guitar. We’ll be playing a full concert, so we hope you can tune in online if you’re not within range of the 2.9 kilowatt transmitter broadcasting our music throughout the Champlain Valley.

Another late night set at The Mill

The Sepomana dance party at The Bunker closed out the Sepomana 2009 festivities, but it didn’t close out our rage through Middlebury College. We just played another late night set at The Mill, where we had such a great time playing last night. Thanks so much to Ernest Russell from WRMC 91.1 FM for inviting us to do these late sets where we get to stretch out and play for the kids. Tonight was special for us, because a dance party erupted during our extended jam on Kevin’s song “Spoon.” There’s nothing quite like seeing a room of people dancing to your jams. I think Kenny Rogers first said that.

WRMC DJ Bente Madson let us drop in and pick out some tunes to play during her radio show Herd. She graciously shouted out the info for our show tonight at Pearson’s Lounge with The Dead Jettsons, while we talked about the phenomenon of animal band names (Animal Collective, Panda Bear, Grizzly Bear, Department of Eagles, Birdsongs of the Mesozoic…). After Bente’s show, DJ Salen Andrews went on the air with her show Into the Void, a classic rock heavy show named after the awesome Black Sabbath song. On Salen’s show we made our live radio debut, playing “Forest Fires” live on the air with just an acoustic guitar, a tambourine, and our three voices. Thanks, Salen, you rock. We hope to catch you next time we hit Middlebury.

Surprise late night show at The Mill

So we were hanging in the green room at McCullough Social Space, and in comes Ernest Russell (WRMC 91.1 FM general manager) to invite us to play a late night set at The Mill. The Mill is a famous/infamous social house at Middlebury, known for hosting killer parties and epic shows. We got the offer, discussed it for about five seconds, and decided to throw Ernest and our gear into the back of the cargo van, headed to The Mill for a late night after-party set. We played until the party ended, packing up around 4 AM. We played a long set, including many songs we don’t play much live. Again, the Middlebury crowd impressed us, dancing it up and supplying us with seemingly endless beer, elixir of a long set. According to local legend, the game Beer Die was invented in the room next to where we were playing.

The Sepomana music festival at Middlebury College was a total blast. We got to share the stage with Brown Heir, Tobacco, and The Death Set. We also got to play with our good friend Mark Christensen, who tore it up on guitar, leaving bits of Gary Busey all over the stage. The crowd at Middlebury is great–really into music and ready to dance at the slightest provocation. Thanks so much for dancing, Middlebury, you made our night. Biggest thanks go out to WRMC 91.1 FM and Middlebury CCAL for running such a great show.

Ghost Ghost does not confirm or deny rumors of a late night show at The Mill.

Ghost Ghost radio debut on WRXP

Matt Pinfield (of MTV’s 120 Minutes fame) featured Ghost Ghost on WRXP radio Wednesday morning (Nov. 19th)! Matt DJs a great rock show on WRXP 101.9 FM in NYC called Matt Pinfield in the Morning, every weekday morning from 6 to 10. Matt dropped “Forest Fires” on an unsuspecting NYC; in fact, many New Yorkers were unaware that there was a forest in the city at all. We hope this information will set them straight.
