No Clothes on Ragged Island on Pandora

November 18, 2010 10:48 pm

No Clothes on Ragged Island is now available on Pandora so go forth and stream it. Pandora has classified each and every song as having “an emotional male lead vocal performance” and “punk influences.” We get a kick out of that. Click here to listen.

Ghost Ghost Pandora station!

September 10, 2010 6:22 am

Ghost Ghost is on Pandora! Now with a Ghost Ghost station! So now all you Pandora junkies can listen to Of Innocence and Experience, and you can also listen to a whole station of songs that are similar to Ghost Ghost. In case you are curious, Pandora frequently describes our music as “electric rock instrumentation, a subtle use of vocal harmony, extensive vamping, and a vocal-centric aesthetic.”

Live concert on WRMC

April 25, 2009 3:35 am

Saturday, 4/25/2009, from 3:30 PM to 5 PM on WRMC: We’re about to rock a live on-the-air concert on WRMC with DJ Salen Andrews on her rad rock show Into the Void.  Mark Christensen will sit in on a few songs, adding that sweet second guitar.  We’ll be playing a full concert, so we hope you can tune in online if you’re not within range of the 2.9 kilowatt transmitter broadcasting our music throughout the Champlain Valley.

Guest DJ spot on WRMC

3:30 am

Saturday, 4/25/2009, from 2 PM to 3:30 PM: Bente Madson invited us to guest DJ on her Herd radio show on WRMC.  Herd is a show drawn from bands with animal names, so we got to play a ton of great music.  Here’s our playlist:

  1.  Animal Collective, “Chocolate Girl”
  2. Glenn Kotche, “Monkey Chant”
  3. The Mountain Goats, “Anti-music Song”
  4. The Beatles, “A Little Help From My Friends”
  5. The Eagles, “One of These Nights”
  6. Panda Bear, “Bros”
  7. Mogwai, “I’m Jim Morrison, I’m Dead”
  8. Fugazi, “Turnover”
  9. Ciccone Youth, “Burnin’ Up”
  10. Eagles of Death Metal, “WannaBe in L.A.”
  11. Dead Horse, “Rock Lobster”
  12. Panda Bear, “Young Prayer 1″
  13. David Byrne + Brian Eno, “Help Me Somebody”
  14. Led Zeppelin, “In the Light”

Everyone knows that a fugazi is a bird with a peculiar call that sounds like “GET ME OUT OF HERE!”  Also, we refuse to apologize for playing Glenn Kotche, David Byrne + Brian Eno, or Led Zeppelin. It had to be done.  Mission accomplished.
