Lit Lounge Thursday
June 7, 2010 2:15 pm
Thursday June 10, 10:30, Lit Lounge: Ghost Ghost, the NYC band and secret shadow government organization, turns 2000 years old this Thursday night. Help us honor ourselves in the traditional way, by attending our fake moon landing re-enactment, secret induction ceremony, end-of-time blow-out bash, and Tupperware party at Lit Lounge with celebrity guests Jean Luc Picard, Jacques Lacan AKA Chaka Khan, Joan of Arc, the word’s largest prairie dog, and special guest of honor renowned sixteenth century astronomer and all-around ladies’ man Tycho Brahe.
Highlights of Thursday night’s program include an all-male, all zombie, revue featuring the recently undead Gary Coleman, and the very nearly undead former CEO of the United States Dick Cheney.
Lit Lounge is located on top of an ancient burial ground at 93 Second Avenue in the East Village. Bring your own sacred shroud, carving implements will be provided for those who wish to record the event on stone tablets. The price for predestined election is $6 at the door. Cult admission will only be awarded to applicants who are 21 years of age and older. Doors will open of their own accord at 8 PM. The apocalypse will start promptly at 9 PM. All paranoiacs will be subject to search — you know we know who you are. Our staff of psychics will RSVP for you. Time traveling attendees must pay in advance and there will be no refunds given to those who vanish from the time-space continuum completely after accidentally preventing their own birth.
With Degreaser, Queen Mab, and Intergalactic Fighters. Facebook event here.
